A 1433 mt di altitudine l'archistar Mario Botta ha realizzato il nuovo centro Termale Mineralbad & SPA Rigi Kaltbad, fiore all'occhiello del gruppo Aqua Spa Resort grazie all'incredibile vista panoramica sul Lago di Lucerna, e impreziosito dalla visione del Rigi, la "Regina delle Montagne" che domina la Svizzera dai suoi 1798 mt.
Il centro termale è facilmente raggiungibile con la funivia da Weggis o con la ferrovia a cremagliera da Vitznau, a pochi km da Lucerna.
Una volta entrati l'atmosfera è davvero rigenerante sia per il corpo che per l'anima.
La struttura è divisa in bagni minerali e area termale (accessibile solo ai maggiori di 16 anni). I bagni minerali si dividono in piscine esterne ed interne, nella zona termale si trovano invece la crystal pool, la sauna alle erbe, l'hammam, e una lounge area in cui poter sorseggiare una tisana o l'acqua della leggendaria sorgente curativa della "Fonte delle tre sorelle".

Per rendere ancora più piacevole l'esperienza al Mineralbad & SPA Rigi Kaltbad è possibile soggiornare al POHO Post Hotel nel cuore di Weggis, a pochi passi dal Lago dei Quattro Cantoni. Lucerna si trova sull'altra sponda del lago e la si può comodamente raggiungere in auto (30 minuti) o con i battelli (45 minuti) che partono dal pontile davanti all'hotel e che permettono di arrivare direttamente al KKL di Lucerna, a pochi passi dal bellissimo centro storico.
L'Hotel è un buon compromesso qualità/prezzo, che permette di visitare sia Lucerna che le terme, raggiungibili in funivia da Weggis o con il trenino a cremagliera da Vitznau. Gli ospiti hanno anche a disposizione bar, ristoranti, piscina coperta, sauna, hammam, palestra con vista panoramica, aree relax. Nella bella stagione è meglio prenotare le camere con terrazzo e vista lago.

Rigi Kaltbad (approx. 1433 m) has had a bathing tradition for 600 years. In times gone by, people from all over the world were attracted to the healing waters of the 'Kaltbad' mineral springs. As of July 2012, this tradition will be carried on by the new Mineralbad & SPA Rigi Kaltbad, designed by internationally-renowned architect Mario Botta.
It may be considered a place for rest and relaxation: put aside your stress and worries and enjoy the splendid view of the Rigi, the "Queen of the Mountains".
The complex is divided into two areas: the mineral baths which are open to everyone (adults and children) and the spa, which is reserved for adults over the age of 16.
The mineral baths are divided into outdoor and indoor pools, in the spa area enjoy different amenities: crystal pool, herbal sauna, hammam and a lounge area with tea or mineral water.

Lucerne is just on the other side of the lake and it's easy to reach by car (30 minutes) but also by ferry boat (45 minutes) because the pier is in front of the hotel and allow you to get directly to the KKL of Lucerne, close to the beautiful old town. Lucerne has to be absolutely visited!
This Hotel is a good compromise quality / price and allows you to visit both Lucerne and the Mineralbad & SPA Rigi Kaltbad. Guests also have access to bars, restaurants, indoor pool, sauna, hammam, well equipped gym and relaxation areas. In good weather it is better to book rooms with terrace and lake view.
